Former OSU guard James Anderson has signed with the Turkish club Dogus Darussafaka in Istanbul, Turkey, and will play under former Cleveland head coach David Blatt.
Anderson, who played for Sacramento this past season, signed a two-year deal with Darussafaka; Anderson opted out of his deal with the Kings in May. The 27-year-old has an NBA opt-out option in the offseason of 2017, should he wish to return.
While the numbers of his contract are not known, it is expected to be one of the “biggest salaries in Europe,” according to eurohoops.net.
The last time that Anderson played in the Euroleague was in 2014, when he played for Zalgiris Kaunas and averaged almost 15 points per game and earned Round 4 MVP honors.
