FORT WORTH, Texas -- After 88 minutes of rugged play in 94-degree heat at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas, the Oklahoma State soccer team needed a hero.
Trailing one goal, Cowgirl striker Jaci Jones sent in a last-minute corner kick and sophomore defender Ally Jackson headed the ball in to save OSU from leaving Texas empty-handed. An unscored extra time period ended the game tied at 1.
It was Jackson’s first goal in her two seasons with OSU and it couldn’t have come at a better time. She said she was thrilled to get one on the score sheet.
