Oklahoma State came up short on Monday night, falling to 2-3 in conference play after a 73-69 loss to Baylor.
The Bears filled it up from 3 early and often, making 11 of 14 triples (79 percent!) in the first half, led by King McClure (6-of-7). The Cowboys were no slouch from deep either, nailing a solid, albeit less impressive, 6-of-14 from beyond the arc led by Lindy Waters who made all three of his deep attempts before intermission.
Both teams came back to earth in the final frame and the Cowboys’ well ran dry.
OSU went through a drought from the field of seven and a half minutes from the 8:30 mark to the 0:59 what was broken when a Curtis Jones putback layup pulled the Pokes to within 67-66.
