Kyle Crutchmer began changing his life the day he started ripping memorabilia off his walls.
The pictures of Sooners and crimson posters couldn’t stay. He closed his bedroom door to hide the walls that were painted like Owen Field In Norman.
The only sign left of the household’s fandom was a picture hung in the dining room of Crutchmer’s grandfather wearing an OU uniform. He played football for the Sooners and was the reason the Crutchmer family owned season tickets to watch OU in the fall.
“OU football was born and bred into me,” said Kevin, Kyle’s father.
