OSU added a late commitment to its 2023 recruiting class on Signing Day with a significant in-state talent, offensive lineman Jamison Mejia from Broken Arrow, deciding to stay within the state borders and play his college ball in black and orange. Mejia chose OSU over a reported offer sheet that included Virginia, Tulsa, Arkansas State and others.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound tackle picked up an offer from OSU last week and made his way to Stillwater for an official visit before sealing the deal. He was a late riser in the cycle who had just five offers prior to the 2023 calendar year — none of which came from power conference schools — before a recent blow-up with Virginia and OSU expressing interest.
