The defensive plan revolved around Brady Manek.
The Oklahoma State men’s basketball team couldn’t let him put on a show in another Bedlam game. With a cohesive focus on containing Oklahoma’s starting junior forward, the Cowboys stormed past the Sooners 83-66 on Saturday afternoon in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
OSU held Manek to only two points. Three weeks earlier, Manek had an explosive 30-point game as the Sooners clobbered the Cowboys 82-69 in Norman, but OSU has evolved since then.
Cameron McGriff, the Cowboys’ starting senior forward, said his team benefited from playing aggressively against Manek and forcing him to constantly work on offense and defense.
