Kolby Harvell-Peel gazed up at the football and waited for it to drop.
To him, it was seemingly suspended in the air for an eternity after TCU quarterback Max Duggan let go of it. Mike Gundy, the Oklahoma State football coach, said he thought the pass was too long for Harvell-Peel to intercept, but Harvell-Peel surprised him.
Harvell-Peel, a sophomore safety, electrified OSU’s defense in a 34-27 victory against the Horned Frogs on Saturday in Boone Pickens Stadium.
With the win, the Cowboys (6-3 overall, 3-3 Big 12) are bowl eligible.
Harvell-Peel finished with a team-high two interceptions, including his catch at OSU’s 27-yard line in the fourth quarter.
