STILLWATER — Chuba Hubbard uses the terms “brother” and “best friend” interchangeably when he's talking about J.D. King, so Hubbard was well aware of his fellow Oklahoma State running back's intention to transfer before King publicized it on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
“I'm going to support him in whatever he does," Hubbard said Tuesday. "I know he'll be great wherever he goes.”
Hubbard, from Alberta, Canada, and King, from Fitzgerald, Georgia, both came to OSU as part of the Cowboys' 2017 recruiting class. While Hubbard redshirted last season, King served as Justice Hill's backup; he rushed for 469 yards on 99 carries.
