For the first time, an Oklahoma State football player is the Big 12 Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Justice Hill, a junior running back from Tulsa, earned the award, the conference announced Tuesday. Hill is also an Academic All-American and an All-Big 12 first-team honoree for academics and athletics.
Hill, a finance student, holds a 3.64 GPA. To receive the award, a student-athlete is required to be a junior or senior, have a GPA of at least 3.20, play in 20 percent or more of the team's scheduled games and reside at the academic institution for at least one year.
