High School Notebook: John Marshall's Justin Broiles signs financial aid papers with Oklahoma

The No. 1 player on The Oklahoman's Super 30 recruit rankings for the 2017 class is ready for the next step in his career.

John Marshall cornerback Justin Broiles signed financial aid documents with Oklahoma over the weekend as he plans to enroll for the spring semester and be on campus in January.

Since high school athletes can't sign a letter of intent until February, early enrollees often choose to hold a signing ceremony with the signing of their financial aid agreement.

Broiles, a first-team selection on The Okahoman's All-State team, said it was a tough decision to give up the final semester of high school, but he feels he's making the right move.
