High Noon Highlights (9/10): Adrianna Franch gets racist comments

Adrianna Franch faces racist insults at NWSL game:

Former Cowgirl Soccer goal keeper dealt with something no one should have to at Friday night’s Utah Royals-Portland Thorns game. Franch was taunted by an opposing fan with racial language. SB Nation wrote a great article with details of the incident and how we can do better.

Then there’s the league itself, which appears to have been caught flat-footed by this incident, with no apparent policy in place for the public to read. NWSL thankfully may have a much lower incidence of racist behavior (that we know of) among fans to which they must respond, but why isn’t there general league policy in place for bad behavior that reaches the level required for disciplinary action?
