Adding to the heap of honors she’s received this season, Vanessa Shippy was named the Big 12 Player of the Year yesterday. Impressively, this is the second time she’s earned the honor, winning it previously in 2016. This makes her the third player in Big 12 history to win the award multiple times. With a .460 batting average, 26 RBIs and 25 walks, Shippy has had a senior season to remember. This is just a little icing on the cake.
