Boomer was the first commitment for the Cowboys in the 2019 class as he announced his verbal commit on Nov. 4, 2017. He picked Oklahoma State over reported offers from Arkansas, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas A&M and Texas.
