Devin Harper gets to stay a Cowboy.
On Saturday, Harper, OSU's starting linebacker, was selected 193rd overall in the sixth round of the NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys. Harper's selection came five spots after his teammate, linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez, was drafted by the Detroit Lions.
Harper spent six seasons with the Cowboys, studying under linebackers like Justin Phillips and Amen Ogbongbemiga before elevating into a starting spot this past year. Last season, he set career-highs in tackles (95), tackles for loss (11) and sacks (6.0) with OSU.
Cowboys LB Devin Harper a John Fassel-type pick.
