NORMAN — Thirty minutes after playing the game of his life Wednesday night, Ryan Spangler walked back onto the Lloyd Noble Center floor to sign autographs and pose for pictures with adoring fans. Spangler was Old School. He wore a white T-shirt, dungarees rolled up with cuffs and white sneakers.
Looked like something straight out of “Happy Days.” Think Richie Cunningham's older brother. And happy days were here again for the OU basketball senior.
Gone was the hesitation to shoot. Gone was the lack of production. A frustrating February gave way to a magical night. Spangler scored 26 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and led the third-ranked Sooners to a 71-49 rout of OSU.
