Gunnar Gundy joining Oklahoma State football staff in assistant role

Gunnar Gundy is returning to Oklahoma State football — but in different fashion.

According to his Instagram bio, Gundy, the son of Cowboys coach Mike Gundy, will serve as the quarterbacks quality control assistant.

Gunnar spent last season quarterbacking at Division II Emporia State, throwing for 2751 yards, 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 10 games.

In a Cowboy uniform (2021-23), Gunnar totaled 569 total yards and five touchdowns. He threw for a career-high 128 yards and and two touchdowns against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Gunnar was part of the three-man quarterback rotation OSU used to start the 2023 season, appearing in four games and throwing 202 yards and a touchdown.
