STILLWATER — Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy has been pleased with left tackle Aaron Cochran’s effort since the day he arrived in Stillwater early in the summer.
Now, the coach is ready to watch the 6-foot-8, 332-pound senior graduate transfer from Cal in action on game day.
“He’s done everything we’ve asked him,” Gundy said. “I’m always a little surprised when we can bring a player in and in two months, they can adjust to our culture. It’s not easy to do, but he’s dropped 30 or 40 pounds.
“I’m excited to watch him play.”
Gundy knows Cochran will have some adjustments to make in the transition to the faster pace of OSU’s offense, which made Cochran’s dedication to losing weight before the season so valuable.
