Mike Gundy’s dog is usually quiet at press conferences.
He has brought Kenzie, his fluffy four-legged companion, to most of his weekly pressers this year. She often wanders around the room searching for scraps of sandwiches or cookies from boxed lunches and calmly lets reporters pet her as Gundy stands at the podium. His voice is the center of attention while he sometimes adds animated movement to depict plays or provides analogies between coaching and parenting.
Monday, Kenzie suddenly disrupted one of Gundy’s answers with a few loud barks, and it was ironically when he discussed vocal leadership, a key point in his press conference.
