Over the course of the season, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy has voiced his desire for backup running back LD Brown to become more involved in the Cowboy offense.
When the Cowboys needed a spark of momentum in a back-and-forth second-half shootout against Baylor on Saturday, Brown took a handoff from quarterback Spencer Sanders in the shotgun, broke and spun his way through two Baylor tacklers at the line of scrimmage, and then sped off down the OSU sideline for an explosive 68-yard touchdown run.
Brown's breakaway score was a tremendous momentum swing at the time, as it momentarily put the Pokes back out in front of the Bears at the start of the fourth quarter and injected life and energy into a sellout homecoming crowd at Boone Pickens Stadium.
