When Oklahoma State’s defense was struggling Saturday, West Virginia quarterback Garrett Greene took full advantage, leading the Mountaineers to a 38-14 victory in Stillwater.
The Mountaineers generated most of their offense on the ground, with 389 rushing yards and 169 passing yards. Greene played a significant role in the dominant run game, rushing for 86 yards on 10 carries and a rushing touchdown. Greene was also efficient in the air, going 9 of 15 for 159 passing yards.
A variety of targets helped Greene rack up those passing yards, with wide receivers Hudson Clement and Traylon Ray each leading WVU (3-2, 2-0 Big 12) with three receptions – 64 yards for Clement and 37 for Ray with one touchdown.
