The Oklahoma State running game was not working, so the Cowboys decided to dominate through the air.
The Cowboys' offense passed for 432 yards and five touchdowns in a 45-10 victory over Tulsa on Saturday. OSU quarterback Alan Bowman led the passing attack, going 24-for-31 with 396 passing yards alongside five passing touchdowns and one interception. Bowman threw his first five touchdown game since 2020, when he was quarterbacking for Texas Tech.
Bowman was not looking at just one guy in the contest. Bowman’s five touchdowns were dispersed between four Cowboys. Two wide receivers, De’Zhaun Stribling and Talyn Shettron, led the Cowboys in receiving — seven receptions for 174 yards and two touchdowns for Stribing, and brought in three catches for 110 yards, including a 78-yard touchdown for Shettron.
