Rickie Fowler touched off a bummer of a 2018 Open Championship on Sunday with a 1-over 72 on Sunday and finished T28 on the week. Fowler is one of just 20 golfers to make the cut at each of the first three majors of 2018, but his mini-ejection on Saturday at Carnoustie was disappointing after looking like he was going to contend going into the weekend.
Fowler made the cut at the 147th Open at 3 under and pushed it to 5 under after making birdie at two of the first four holes in Round 3. He was sniffing the leaders before an out-of-bounds drive at the par-5 6th hole led to a triple-bogey snowman 8, and the wheels were off.
