Rondel Walker’s meteoric recruiting rise culminated on Thursday as the four-star guard from Putnam City West made his long-anticipated college commitment, choosing the Cowboys over Kansas State, Texas, Virginia Tech and Arkansas.
The 6-foot-2 Walker made his commitment in the auditorium of his high school. With the de-commitment of four-star guard Davonte Davis on the first day of October, Walker ends the month as OSU’s lone commitment in the 2020 recruiting class.
Walker was offered by OSU more than two years ago, but his recruitment has been a rollercoaster. He went nearly a full year without other programs kicking the tires before finally offers from Texas A&M, SMU, Kansas State and Virginia Tech, among others, began rolling in.
