After Thomas Dziagwa hit a 3-pointer from the left corner, Dwight Schrute screamed.
Oklahoma State men’s basketball fans embraced their love of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company when the Cowboys battled Baylor on Monday. Gallagher-Iba Arena was the setting for a theme night centered on “The Office,” a popular documentary-style show that aired on NBC.
The crowd erupted as the face of Dwight, an iconic character from the series, appeared on the screen to celebrate Dziagwa’s basket, but the Cowboys didn’t maintain the spark. They couldn’t recover from a late scoring drought and fell to Baylor 73-69.
“Obviously a disappointing night at ‘The Office,’” Mike Boynton, OSU’s coach, said.
