Oklahoma State's Phil Forte announced March 24 he will be returning to OSU for a fifth year.
The sharpshooting guard from Flower Mound, Texas, announced Wednesday he will return to play in Gallagher-Iba Arena for a fifth season.
“I’m coming back,” Forte said. “The four years here at Oklahoma State have been the best four years of my life. I couldn’t ask for anything else.”
Speculation surrounded Forte’s return after tearing the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow in the third game of the 2015-16 season, which was initially his senior year.
Forte was granted a medical redshirt, but Forte’s return was questioned with the departure of coach Travis Ford.
