Viktor Hovland has an opportunity to accomplish something all but one former OSU golfer failed to do.
On Saturday, Hovland, former OSU golfer, shot even-par (70 strokes) in the third round of the PGA Championship at Oak Hill in Rochester, New York.
The round puts Hovland at five-under par for the tournament and is tied for second heading into the final round which will be played on Sunday.
It's been 37 years since a former OSU golfer has won a major tournament and for how many professionals OSU has produced, it's the only major for OSU.
