Former OSU basketball player dies

Paul LaBrue, a key member of OSU’s 1965 Big Eight champion basketball team, died Friday when he was hit by a truck while he was walking in his Goddard, Kan., neighborhood. LaBrue was 72.

“He was the sixth man,” said LaBrue’s OSU teammate, Gene Johnson. “Very physical at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds.
