Former Oklahoma State Player Fired From Coaching Job

The University of Texas-San Antonio has fired its basketball coach, Brooks Thompson. Thompson has been in San Antonio since 2006, when he led the Road Runners to a 7-22 record. His high at UTSA was 2010-2011 when his Roadrunners won 20 games and made the NCAA Tournament as a 16-seed before losing to Ohio State 75-46.

Thompson had a 128-151 record going into this season before leading UTSA to a 5-27 record. His teams had not been over .500 since 2011.

Thompson, a former OSU player (1992-94), is now another former Poke on the market that OSU Athletic Director Mike Holder could be looking at soon, if coach Travis Ford is to be let go.
