For the first time in more than 30 years, a former Oklahoma State basketball player made the NBA All-Star Game.
Detroit Pistons star guard Cade Cunningham, who played for the Cowboys in the 2020-21 season, was one of seven Eastern conference reserves voted as an All-Star. Cunningham is the first OSU player to appear in the game since 1994, when John Starks represented the New York Knicks.
During his lone season with the Cowboys, Cunningham was the 2021 Big 12 Player of the Year, National Freshman of the Year and a first team All-American. He averaged 20.
