Another former Oklahoma State basketball player has found a new home.
Woody Newton committed to George Mason on Friday, according to multiple reports. Newton, listed at 6-foot-9, played in 29 games for the Cowboys this past season, making 13 starts. He averaged 4.3 points and 3.4 rebounds a game.
Newton came to OSU from Syracuse. This being his second transfer, Newton would need a waiver to be immediately eligible next season. He still has a redshirt year available should it come to that, but with him moving to Virginia, he might receive a waiver for being closer to his home of District Heights, Maryland — about an hour drive away.
