The defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers signed former OSU guard Markel Brown to a free agent deal to compete for a roster spot in team camp.

Brown, a four-year player at Oklahoma State, average 17 ppg and 5.3 rebounds as a senior. In his two years with the New Jersey Nets, Brown played in 109 games, averaging about 16 minutes a night.
