LSU sophomore Wide Receiver Tyron Johnson was granted a release for his transfer from the Tigers’ program on Tuesday. Now, why is this a big deal for OSU? Well, it appears that OSU may be in prime position to snag Johnson.
Johnson, a former 5* recruit and the 2nd-ranked wide receiver in the 2015 recruiting class, had Oklahoma State and Texas Tech in his top 2 before surprising everyone and picking LSU at the Under Armor All-American Game. Johnson’s father told Ross Dellenger of The Advocate that Tyron is seeking a “more wide-open offense.
