Daton Fix sat on the mat with a look of disbelief.
The No. 1 133 pound wrestler won all of his duals this season in convincing fashion, scoring a lot of points.
Saturday, that was not the case.
No. 2 Roman Bravo-Young defeated Fix in the NCAA title bout, 4-2, in overtime. Fix’s two points are the lowest of his season.
Furthermore, Fix didn’t earn the points through a takedown or otherwise. The referees awarded them to Fix via two stalling calls against Bravo-Young.
