Film Review: 2016 Quarterback Nick Starkel

Oklahoma State picked up a Quarterback commitment for the 2016 recruiting class on Thursday in the form of Nick Starkel. The 6'3" 185-pound quarterback is from Liberty Christian High School in Argyle, Texas. Playing in only seven games during his Junior season, Starkel had a 65% completion percentage, throwing for 1,609 yards and 19 touchdowns with only 4 interceptions. Starkel chose the Cowboys over Indiana State, Old Dominion and Tulane; he was also receiving interest from many other top schools including Arizona State, Baylor, Notre Dame and Stanford.

With Mason Rudolph as the clear quarterback of the future and John Kolar as a top recruit in the 2015 class, Starkel will likely be a redshirt in his first season in Stillwater.
