Despite traditionally-packed coliseums and new buildings, despite all kinds of infrastructure that caters to the 21st-century crowd, getting fans to actually come to ballgames is not easy. It’s a constant concern for major-league franchises and big-time college athletic programs.

And here’s the latest evidence. LSU football, forever billed as a wild game environment fueled by rabid Louisianans, is feverishly pitching new ideas to entice fans to Tiger Stadium.
The Baton Rouge Advocate reported this week that LSU has instituted a new ticket plan called the flex pass -- $360 for seven vouchers that can be redeemed for any of the seven regular-season games in Tiger Stadium.
