Donnie Walton had an excellent day at the plate during the Cowboy’s 10-7 victory in 10 innings. The junior shortstop went 3-for-4, while also drawing two walks, scoring a run and adding an RBI to his stat line.
“(It was) just the approach,” Walton said “I have been talking with Josh and my pops (OSU pitching coach Rob Walton). … I saw the ball well today.”
Walton’s big day started in the first inning when the switch-hitting shortstop hit a ball that got through on the ride side resulting in a single.
