Dillon Stoner, a versatile prospect from Jenks who is committed to Oklahoma State, has been named the Player of the Year by the Tulsa World, it was announced Sunday.
Stoner was a swiss army knife for the state champion Jenks Trojans. He spent the season playing receiver, safety, cornerback, place holder, punt return, and punter to lead the Trojans to a fourth straight state championship.
The 6-foot, 185-pound athlete will play receiver for the Cowboys, and he may be one of several true freshmen who are simply too talented to keep off the field next season.
