Thomas Dziagwa needed no further motivation.
It was an ordinary summer day in Stillwater. The number of Oklahoma State University students in town had dwindled, and other than working on assignments for summer classes, Dziagwa didn’t have much to do, he said.
But he had a mission.
He stood on the basketball court and lobbed up a shot. The ball swished through the hoop.
That day, Dziagwa tallied more than 1,000 makes.
His coach’s words lingered in his mind, giving him a reason to continue.
Mike Boynton, the OSU men’s basketball coach, presented a challenge to Dziagwa at the start of June.
