Daton Fix’s Suspension Ends, He’ll Wrestle Sunday

Daton Fix hasn’t wrestled for Oklahoma State since March of 2019, but that will change Sunday.

After taking an Olympic redshirt last season, for an Olympics that was postponed, Fix received a one-year suspension after testing positive for ostarine from an out of competition drug test conducted on Jan. 22, 2020. Ostarine is a nonspecific substance in the class of anabolic agents and is prohibited under the World Anti-Doping Code and the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List.

A panel that reviewed Fix’s case found that he unknowingly ingested the substance from a water bottle that contained a supplement mixture as well as the ostarine that Fix’s father prepared for himself but left in the family refrigerator.
