Daton Fix wrestled Roman Bravo Young in the NCAA finals for the second time on Saturday night and again, Fix walked away as runner up.
In an exchange in the first period Fix attempted an inside trip on RBY and Young stalled Fix’s shot. Seconds later, Bravo-Young used his length to hit and score on an ankle pick and that was ultimately the difference in the match. Fix got a quick escape to make it 2-1, and in the second tied it at 2-2 with another escape. Fix had one pretty strong shot later in the period but was unable to finish and score.
