The Dallas Cowboys released long-time wide receiver Dez Bryant after a meeting between he and team officials, including GM and owner Jerry Jones, on Friday.
Dez tweeted shortly after the meeting all but confirming reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Networks’ Ian Rapoport. He left The Star throwing up the deuces in what likely will be his final trip to team headquarters in Frisco, Texas.
Dallas cutting Dez ends a partnership that began in 2010 after the Cowboys selected him with the 24th pick in the NFL Draft. Since that time, he became Dallas’ all-time leader in TD receptions with 73, just ahead of fellow teammate Jason Witten, who has 71.
