Cowboy basketball icon Doug Gottlieb talked about how the disdain between Sooners and Cowboys burns in the fall and the fire relatively dies out during the winter for basketball.
Right now, Bedlam beats to the crashing of Riddells, not the bouncing of Spaldings. It would be nice if one season fed into the next and the rivalry burned year-round. It would be nice to hear more of where this came from:
“To me more devastating than losing to Florida in the Elite Eight was losing to OU my last game at old Gallagher,” Gottlieb said.
