The Oklahoma State equestrian team captured its first victory of the spring against TCU 14-5 on Saturday.
In their spring home opener, the No. 2 Cowgirls grabbed an early 4-1 lead in Fences. Sydnie Ziegler was named Most Outstanding Player in the event and freshman Emma Pacyna won her first event as a Cowgirl.
“It was good to see [Ziegler] raise her game up to where we know she’s capable of competing,” OSU coach Larry Sanchez said.
After a competitive event of Horsemanship, where each ride was decided by two points or less, the Cowgirls finished the first half of the meet up 7-2.
