Ty RussellHaving trouble starting games strong is becoming an Oklahoma State women’s basketball worrisome trend, but a bedlam matchup with Oklahoma means anything can happen.
In the Cowgirls’ 66-53 victory on Tuesday night, that is exactly what happened.
OSU’s defense caused the Sooners early issues, leading to the Cowgirls opening the night on a 13-2 run. If there was energy lacking, it wasn’t easy to spot.
Ja’Mee Asberry, Taylen Collins and Natasha Mack played well. Both Asberry and Mack shot 7-for-14. Mack said the Cowgirls knew they had more numbers, leading to the plan to bring energy to the floor.
