FORT WORTH, Texas − Before the Cowgirls ever tipped off against TCU, they knew they had a mismatch.
The Horned Frogs were without 6-foot-7 center Sedona Prince, who averages more than 21 points and 10.6 rebounds a game, after she suffered a hand injury against Baylor.
OSU took advantage of the game-changing adjustment and pulled off a 67-59 victory against No. 23 TCU at Schollmaier Arena on Saturday evening. The Cowgirls built as much as a 14-point lead, which helped propel them to 2-1 in the Big 12.
As a presence of height was lacking on the Horned Frogs' side, the Cowgirls (9-5 overall, 2-1 Big 12) took advantage in this aspect as they utilized their own version of a dominant low-post scoring threat.
