Thanks to strong opening rounds from senior Alexis Sadeghy and freshman Stephanie Astrup, the No. 15 Oklahoma State women’s golf team sits in fourth, only two strokes back from leaders Washington after the first day of the ASU/PING Invitational on Friday.

The Cowgirls had one of their strongest rounds of the season, shooting a 2-under 286.

Both Sadeghy and Astrup had strong rounds, each shooting 1-under 71. They will enter day two T-9, four strokes back of the leader, Arizona's Bianca Pagdanganan.

They were not the only Cowgirls to finish the day in the individual top 15.
