At the last moment, it seemed the Oklahoma State women’s tennis team might lose its first set of the day.
But with all eyes on her, junior Lisa Marie Rioux came through to finish the final match of the contest and secure a two-set victory. In their home opener, the Cowgirls swept Wyoming 7-0 on Sunday evening at Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center.
After all other matches had finished, Rioux was left on her court boasting a comfortable 5-2 second-set lead. Wyoming’s Tessa van Der Ploeg began to fight back, making a comeback to take the next game.
