The Oklahoma State softball team started its third consecutive invitational tournament off hot.
The Cowgirls swept their doubleheader on day one of the Mary Nutter Classic, defeating both Arizona State and North Carolina on Thursday in Palm Springs, California.
To start the day, No. 20 OSU shut out No. 13 Arizona State 2-0 thanks to a complete game from senior transfer Samantha Show.
The Cowgirls had a chance to get some runs on the board in the second inning with the bases loaded, but Rylee Bayless wasn’t able to capitalize at the plate.
OSU got its first run of the day off an RBI single from Michaela Richbourg.
