The Oklahoma State women’s tennis team pulled off a feat never before accomplished in Cowgirl history on Wednesday evening.
OSU made a miraculous comeback in a packed Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis center to win their match 4-3 and defeat Florida for the first time in school history.
The match looked grim for the No. 18 Cowgirls (6-1) when senior Vladica Babic fell to seventh-ranked Anna Danilina in her third set, giving No. 3 Florida (2-2) a 3-1 lead.
At that time, the Cowgirls’ lone point had come from a 6-2, 6-4 singles victory from junior Katarina Stresnakova, who stormed back from a 4-2 second-set deficit to remain undefeated this season.
