The Cowgirls packed an extra item on their trip to Iowa: brooms.
The Oklahoma State women’s track team swept the distance relay events at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
For the second time in three years, the Cowgirls won the 4-by-800-meter relay, 4-by-1,600-meter relay and the distance medley relay. OSU became the first program to achieve the feat twice.
Kaela Edwards not only ran the anchor leg on the distance medley relay, but also made her solo debut. The senior ran in the Rio Olympic Rematch 1,500-meter race, and she finished in 4 minutes, 18.
